Jokes aside, what Drake is doing is the sensible thing.

Defamation is a tricky topic. By not taking any action, he kind of leaves himself exposed to claims in the future. Even if they're caught lying, they'll argue that he was not defamed because the world already viewed him as a pedo.

We live in a time where this shyt can spread like wildfire so it behoves him to get ahead of it.

WTF are you talking about....it was Drake
-kissing a 17 year old on stage and talking bout how thick she is + other weird interactions with underage women

Yeah that's the weird thing. Who are his handlers? What kind of optics does that and texting a teenage Millie Brown give the world at large. No one pulled him aside and said "Aubrey this ain't the move." People have been crucified for less and this dude does this shyt on video and has texts and shyt?

The theory that UMG plotted on this beef to lower drake's value is absolutely moronic :mjlol: .....Aubrey's value was already dropping for years. UMG didn't need a rap beef to prove that. He used to do 700k albums first week. Now he can barely muster up 400k with a 23 song album. Then he ran to 21 for help and he still barely did 400k. After he dropped honestly nevermind and did 200k first week he's been desperate as fukk to remain relevant.

So once again. This is just Aubrey being a sore losing fakkit. Once UMG brings these facts to the table it's really gonna get embarrassing for him. Drake is just a soft ass p*ssy who can't accept reality.
And that’s by design.

He has created the reality around him. The dude has limited his comments on his IG and only allows the people that he follows to comment. So he basically has a bunch of “Yes” men that he follows that always build him up.

Mix that with the money, the fame, and all that. He has his over fantasy reality.

What is going on right now is a severe case of narcissism.

This really isn’t gonna end well

Drake trying to sue makes it clear he was never hip hop and has just been using the culture to make money. It is against hip hop to diss somebody then run to the court crying defamation after you get dissed back. Drake should be persona non grata in hop hop but he will probably get a pass for this hoe shyt too.

We have some of the strictest libel laws in the world in the UK, but everyone knows the easiest way round any sort of litigation is to say "I hear you like 'em young" rather than "I know you like 'em young".

An accusation isn't technically being made, it's just being reported as existing in the wild.

Tabloids have been getting away with "Many people are saying..." and "Sources close to a celebrity have told us..." for decades.

So they're saying this was the red button he was talking about on Scary Hours 3, the Kendrick part was just the last straw but he already had smoke with UMG turning his water off.
Optically this was a huge misstep, and I think he knew that and didn't care what peoples response would be. Whistle blowing only works when you're not the biggest beneficiary.

Gilbert Arenas talked about this on recent ep of his pod. He won 3 defamation suits too so he has some credibility and experience and pointed out the certified pedophile part. Rashad tried to say Kendrick said it as a question but Gil said he made a statement after questioning the loverboy part right before
