Throughout this beef, there's been alot of dusty NY nikkas using Drake as a proxy to shade the west and gaslight audiences like we not seeing the obvious azz whoopin K.Dot put on him and Drake Cheddar Bob'n whats left of his career.

Drake was never part of the culture, and his fans never been part of our culture either

If you believe this then why you got your panties in a bunch. Drake is doing what he is supposed to be doing right?

Yall keep talking about culture like hiphop culture aint been dead for 20 years.

Is burger King and all the corporations that inserted themselves in this "beef" the culture?

Are all the white folks and kids creating memes and calling the police the culture?

Are the mumble rappers who paint their nails and wear purses and dresses the culture?

The reason all the above exist is cause the culture doesn't control the culture and hasn't for a long time. They white folks who own the labels, streaming etc control the culture and what you listen to.

I said suppression in terms of streaming for Family matters on the DSPs not in terms of radio. Thats why I’m saying FM was never going to get radio play being as long as it was. As you said Drake dropped a video in response to the beef. The video dropped the same time as the song. The only person in the beef to create the a video at the time, this is the climax of the battle and at the climax the narrative is that nobody decided to pay as much attention to the guy everyone’s saying was industry backed winner? This logic doesnt make sense that everyone tuned into the battle would listen to MTG and not FM. I watched on YouTube as MTG had more listens than FM. So even when we talk about the battle of public perception something is off. Only now The numbers between the two songs are more even keeled.

I always say if you want a better picture of what’s been happening pay attention to the numbers and who’s speaking and who is not.

Smh people can’t see the forest from the trees. It’s pretty simple. No artist gets to just put their songs on DSPs without approval. Which is why the question should have been on May 4th who from the label gave the green light to put out NLU. It’s not simply about it being a rap battle. Despite these guys being artist, they are a brand, they are a business. The fallout from damaging Drake’s brand has had the intended ripple effect as seen. Someone at the label or DSP had to have known what Kendrick was going to say on NLU and gave the approval. No matter what anyone says Drake is a money maker for multiple groups, so to allow a song that called him a pedo to be blasted around the whole world is telling. We all know FM a 7 minute song was not going to go viral and be played on the radio. NLU was made to be a hit and pushed as such despite the implications in the song. This never was just a rap battle. I can’t understand why people can’t wrap their head around this. I can’t even understand how most people don’t even realize how the masses have been galvanized to hate ‘Drake’ as an artist not the person, in 8 months. These blogs and podcasters all repeating the same talking points which get picked up and repeated by tik tokers. No one questions the bizarreness of all of this.

I wonder if someone at the label had such a crisis of conscious when they heard Drake say that Kendrick beat his wife…
