I know you said what you said in the last part but I still got to say (not coming at you just my feeling in general)...
Black America, well at least the "thinkers", usually self-described such as Umar, have an unhealthy obsession with celebrity figures and their importance in the black community when our issues or the things that matter in improving our condition have shyt all to do with celebrities in any way or if they do, maybe their influence that some folks need to actually give less power to instead of more by caring what these people are doing or think.
Most black celebs sad to say would book the hell out of the country and look out for themselves if any shyt goes down. They aren't going to be there to save the average black person or be looking out for them to empower them. They are on the first flight with their cash to the first country that takes them that allows them to maintain their lifestyle.
