One of the most underrated and under appreciated jobs in music is MIXING a song!! Dre is one of the masters at that! if you've heard his mixes from the early 90's till now, you'd have to give it up to him in how he was ahead of his time in that department. No he didn't provide Kendrick with beats, but his mixing is very vital at how CRISP and CLEAN this album sounds, mixing i would say is a step above important than producing, smh to those that say Dre didn't do sh*t, a song being mixed takes a lot of time to do and if you want it sounding right, not just eq'ing the vocals and all :dj2:

Kendrick himself said that Dre was very instrumental in the whole process.
I mean Dre did 3 beats on SSLP and Es and 6 on MMLP and shyt but we've all heard the difference between pre Dre and post Dre magic with Ems shyt (referring to SSLP).
Same with GRODT.

Also a lot of coaching and shyt in the studio..

of course he did.

but get ready for bunch of morons coming in here acting like they know what they are talking about when it comes to music. .

all he did was twist nobs

probably had a ghost mixer

etc etc

mixing, mastering and sequencing can make or break an album

dre has a sound that only he can make. put in a dre song you can hear the difference right away unless you are musically challenged.

also dre added a lot of bells and whistles to the production.

dre's melodies have gotten a bit stale lately but dre drums and bass are goat

It kinda annoyed me Dre slipping in a Beats references in his verse.
