I'm 99% with him.

Because, yes Democrats and Republicans are the same but Trump is unique problem. I do not expect Biden to do much better as this economy is fukked up.

They'll get the "Well they're cleaning up Trump's mess" as they bailout more Wall St. a$$holes.

God, I dread election day.

But, Donald gotta go.

Cornell West got froze out of the black community because he went out of his way to disparage the first black president because of some perceived slight over not getting free tickets to Obamas inauguration.

A lot of ppl turned on him and Tavis Smiley, two self important niccas that actually chartered a bus and went on a nationwide tour to talk trash about Obama, while coincidentally both these niccas been eerily quiet when it comes to Trump.

"We have to tell the truth about even those we vote for," West added. "That's why I don't endorse them, I vote for them."

Is this the quote?

I agree with him, we can talk about how Biden is trash and not really support him, but still vote for him.

For some people it isn't enough that you're willing to vote for the man, you have to be on the team and defend him too. Dudes be on the coli like it's their mission to protect his honor. :camby:

They were right about obama. Symbolic victories is why nothing has changed for black america and things continue to get worse.

They have never been quiet on trump. They stay trashing trump. Only reason you dont hear them as much is cause yall c00ns destroyed their platform. Travis dont even have a show anymore.

Cornell West and Tavis were dead on about Obama.

More negroes shoulda listened to them. Instead we were so caught up in the image and symbolism of the first "Black" President.
12 years later and we are about to fall for the same thing.

How were they right about Obama? :jbhmm:

I don't get it, either.

You always have to include you hate Trump/You're not staying home election date.

But, you have to treat Democrats like family because you're voting for them.

You are right about the nature of the rift between Dr West and Obama.
Smiley personally turned on (candidate) Obama for snubbing an invite to his Black forum.
I don't think that Black people in general froze Dr. West out because it wasn't Black people who made him.

I was talking about media outlets freezing West out because of that rift. A generation ago, they annointed him "the smartest Black man in America" and propped him up. He held his tongue on certain views to remain in that seat.,When they pulled the rug from under him, not surprising that he would stop holding his tongue.

Their gripes with Obama were directly tied to personal snubs. Before the snubs, they supported him.
More importantly, before the snubs both men held their tongues during the Clinton presidency about the SAME topics that they challenged/criticized Obama about.
