Lupe is probably the best artist out right now. To me he's one of the torch bearers for positive hip-hop music, one of the very few.

I think Lupe is overrated, but I know I am in the minority around here. He makes good music, which seems better because the industry is horrible, but he isn't anywhere near the best artist out.

He has said some dumb ass things before too.

Hus music is true artistry. He is the best out in my opinion, his first 2 albums were legit classics. Lasers was forced by the record label and still was better than a lot of other albums that year

I like Lupe breh, I just think he's overrated. All of his LPs have been heavily flawed to be, especially Lasers.

He's not bad, don't get me wrong. He's especially a breath of fresh air in this colluded industry, but he's not anywhere near the level that current Nas, Common, and Black Thought are on, and I consider those 3 past their prime.

Common dropped 2 trash albums with UMC and FF. Don't bring him up when considering greatness, and I was the biggest Common fan you can find but he fell off, Dreamer/Believer was pretty good though.

As far as BT goes, I wont argue with you. That's a preference I also think BT is one of the true great artists doing hip-hop.

Nas, same goes with him. But I don't think anything Nas dropped in years is on the level of either of Lupe's first 2.
