Finished the first episode and these people gotta be legit retarded to let some rando on the phone dictate what they need to do. A few ways they could have vetted if it was a real pig even in the 90s and early 2000s

I think he targeted rural white areas, because he knew nobody else would be this willing to comply. No other demographic is that blindly loyal to the police to do those things. Combine low education, plus low income with compliance. It’s not like the guy had a camera, so they could have just claimed they were doing it. How would he know it’s really being done? Why not hang up, and call the police to verify? And since when do police give you instructions, but don’t show up?

And those managers had to have gotten some sick enjoyment, because common sense, and an ounce of decency wouldn’t allow a man to do those things.
