I think the defense was fine more or less besides like one or two drives and a lot of it was baker heroics

they had TB at first and goal from like the 8 yard line and held em to a FG in the end

then they allowed a TD after the ST turnover so it wasnt much of their fault

bucs couldnt pass the ball much

Couldn't watch the game because I went to the stadium to watch La U lose a championship similar to the Ravens SB in 2012

Watched the highlights and it seems we got back to creating via YAC but Special Teams and 3rd/4th down defense continue to be absolutely putric

President, that last drive was autrocious.

That was one of the worst final defensive drives we’ve seen since the SB

Through 9 games Purdy is 8th in yards, 7th in QBR, 8.8 YPA and 97 passer rating. That's without getting into some advanced stats

Geno has less TDs, More INTs and is 24th in QBR.

Baker I will give you but he's still well behind Purdy in QBR but he has a lot more TDs

Goff is well behind in yards and QBR

Hurts and Kyler are debatable. I think I'd definitely have Jayden Daniels in there. But the point is, Purdy is in the mix in the NFC and that's without getting into some more advanced things

Cuz some of yall always give the defense a pass but be ultra critical of the offense.

But putting that a side….. that last drive the defense allowed 11 plays, 56 yards, 4 penalties and 3 penalties alone was back to back to back.

we had 6 penalties the entire game and 5 was done by the defense again 4 in the final 1:30 of the game for 47 total yards.

• A 14 yard
• A 13 yard

Sorry man but that’s inexcusable and no one can or should defend that.

Theres just more problems defensively with this team than offense.

Like what both someone said in here earlier and what even the commentators said. Our biggest issues this season (and SBs too) is keeping a lead. Our defense constantly collapses, 3 of the 5 games we lost this year was the defense just doing dumb shyt that lead to teams coming back once we was up by a few TDs or our defense having thw inability to close the game at big moments

The defense is mediocre at best and I still contend is straight up bad, lol. Unless they start playing to the level of their competition, any real good offense is gonna easily score 30+ points on us, or even worse, just kill the clock with long ass drives converting a ton of 3rd/4th downs and forcing the offense to score TDs each time they have the ball, something are struggling mightily this season

And the Pro Bowl is not a measuring stick of anything ,what the hell are y'all even arguing about I swear 49ers QBs force the dumbest discussions on the fanbase

Brock is basically the same player he's always been for us, as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to see more improvements in the little things he needs to get better at but I'm still more than fine with him as our QB for the next 5 years. I also don't feel any need to defend the guy just because he's not elite or whatever measuring stick fans pick to shyt on him
