DOMS

Sup y'all

I have this thing about DOMS. We all know it sucks ass. I think sometimes it prevents me from going balls deep in my training. The worst muscles for me are biceps, and hamstrings. When I really get after these two muscles sometimes I get DOMS worse than usual. I know nutrition plays a part. When I train hard afterwards I take protein then simple carbs after that, and casein at night and my soreness goes down. Now I've been lifting consistently since the top of the year but I really can't stand the intense soreness I get occasionally. Last time I did hamstrings i was limping for 4 days. I know that's not normal. What are some precautions y'all take to prevent/reduce soreness

I get them from legs, for a few days. Im not sure what I could improve tbh. I hit my macros (220 protein or close enuff daily), take a ton of bcaa's and do light cardio after my leg session which is suppose to alleviate it. Nothing has really helped so far..

Doing some research, besides the things i already posted...Its recommended to do leg day twice a week to get your body more used to it.

Wouldn't work for me tho, that interfere too much with cardio but you can give it a shot

Get warmed up and stretch before and AFTER. Hell, if you aint doing shyt in the middle of the day, stretch. Works for me:manny:

I take back everything I said breh, I feel great today :ahh:

For the last couple of weeks, ive been doing the things I mentioned (hitting macros,xtend, cardio afterwards) with no decrease in soreness. This week I did it after a great leg day with the sole difference of substituting my protein with isoflex

can finally do HIIT again :takedat:

i dont know if this is science or not but if i dont feel sore the day after i feel like i did a shyt workout but probably didnt

i had doms on my lats and delts so bad today i even had trouble doing curls

it definitely affects you

I've been absolutely abusing my upper body muscles and I don't get sore. Makes me think I'm not getting it in correctly :lupe:

But lower body...:wow:

Sore all the time if I go as little as a week without working it out.
