Dolphins swimming in Bronx River

I saw whales the last time I was in the Rockaways. Years ago when I was in Bk I remember a dolphin getting into the Gowanus Canal and didn't make it out alive. That place is a Superfund site if I'm not mistaken and has been polluted in since WW2 when there were shipyards there. Don't know why it would go in there.

Polluted to high hell. It is a superfund site and they’re not doing as much as they should to remedy the toxins, not going deep enough. It’s crazy to think it was once a spot to fish for clams.

I used to walk around it on my lunch breaks. There's an oil slick covering the entire thing. I would look down at it like
