Dolphin found in Louisiana was shot to death

NEW ORLEANS - Conservationists are offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the conviction of whoever shot and killed a bottlenose dolphin in Louisiana.

The dolphin's body was found Saturday at Elmer's Island Wildlife Refuge just west of Grand Isle. It had been shot on the right side just behind its blowhole, and the bullet was found in its lung.

The shooting comes after another dolphin was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver off the coast of Alabama this summer. There are still no suspects in that case.

The Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 forbids harassing, harming, killing or feeding wild dolphins.

From the way the story is being presented its like these dolphins were gang affiliated or some shyt. You don't stab a muthafukka with a screw driver until he dies unless you hate his ass.
