Dolph Ziggler said that losing so frequently on WWE TV hurt his career in the company. He said the constant stream of losses hurt his standing in the promotion, especially considering he is a former Money In The Bank winner and World Heavyweight champion. He said like everyone else in the back, he still wants to be a World champion in the company and headline Wrestlemania. He also said he tries to stand out from everyone else due to being innovative and never copying other performers:laugh:

He said that in general, wins and losses in wrestling don’t matter a lot, but if a wrestler loses all the time in matches at live events or TV shows, the fans lose interest in them.

He was asked about his “gatekeeper role” on WWE TV. He said that if he keeps losing then the new performers and NXT stars who come up to the main roster and beat him don’t gain much, as beating a loser doesn’t have much value

he's right
i was the biggest dolph ziggler mark but have completely lost interest
its impossible to invest in a character if you the end result will be an L followed by another L followed by one more L and ending with an L

unforunately getting to that same place with Sasha. She was my favorite but seems to be a complete afterthought now behind Asuka, Alex, Paige & Company

Finn is next to slide into oblivion. The WWE had something to keep him busy with Joe but now he is cannon fodder for Kane & Joe gotta keep the Big Dog occupied til the Royal Rumble

oh well thank God for AJ

yeah i loved Dolph, the beat him until its hard to appreciate him.

He's a sad case.

He's the ideal person who would be showing up under his real name on Monday Night Nitro back in the day.

thats part of the problem
if the WWE puts you in a certain box its almost impossible to get of (DB & AJ were the only ones in recent memory to overcome)
and what are your alternatives
go to MMA, do movies, go the indy route (which isnt really for everyone) or even worse go to TNA???

without the Monday Night Wars and talent going back & forth we wouldnt have gotten title/main event runs from Eddie Gueroreo, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Shawn Micheals or Bret Hart

No his career got derailed after Jack Swagger kicked him in the head too hard and gave him a concussion. They had two other opportunities to give him a big push (Survivor Series 2014, No Mercy 2016) and fukked them up.

If Dolph wanted to underachieve and collect a paycheck until his contract was up, I wouldn't blame him. :_RVD_:

yeah i dont see how anyone blames dolph... he literally fell off twice and made himself relevant AGAIN... repeatedly.

He has nothing to be ashamed of.

Dude has proven himself when given the ball. His MITB cash in and win over the authority at that Survivor Series were two of the biggest reactions in the past 10 years not involving a part timer.

What Dolph did fail at is being a true show off. In that sense he did not improve his moveset enough to warrant that title of "Show Off". Heel ECW RVD was the PERFECT blueprint to what Dolph should have been

he got that Cody problem, athletic as hell. But was trained in that WWE style. Roman has the same issue... story over moveset.

That being said I dont think only working WWE style, in WWE should have been enought o hold Adolph back.

Dolph needs to go to the Indy's frfr. Not every performer should perform in a circus.
