Dogg Food has aged incredibly well

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with this album when it dropped. I guess I was hoping for another doggystyle. Over the years I've learned to appreciate it much more. I've been listening to it this week and realized how fresh it still sounds, not to mention it's one of the best mixed and mastered hiphop albums I've ever heard. The sound quality is It's a cohesive album that would still feel fresh today. I've got no problem with anyone calling it classic.

I can't argue with that...but I'll respectfully disagree. The only album that sounds just as good and even more crisp is AEOM IMO. The mixing and mastering of west coast albums just couldnt be touched and still cant IMO. Quik-Rhythmalism, Quik-Balance and Options, Mac Mall-Illegal Business, MC Eiht and Compton's Most Wanted-We Come Strapped, Mac Mall-Untouchable,Above The Law-Uncle Sam's Curse, King T-IV Life, Foesum-Perfection. Mainly Kharyee, Dre, Cole 187 um, and Quik are excellent when it comes to mastering.

Had this in the headphones this morning in the gym, had me in my zone doing cardio. That G-Funk with Daz and Kurupt trading on point lyrics is undeniably the shyt. Like I said in another Dogg Food thread, I bought it when it came out, wore it the fukk out, still have the same cd.
