This is horrible. $165k is essentially nothing, especially when it says it was being spread over three years. So $55k a year to help urban farmers with the ability to provide better food to black communities is gone.
A friend of mine who works with the urban farming industry posted last night that a scholarship that provides full rides to students who study "agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or other related academic disciplines" at 1890 institutions (HBCUs) "has been suspended pending further review". Anything that helps black people achieve anything positive is under attack.
