Mirror, Through the looking glass, it's a reflection so it's literally the opposite of that which is.


A camera lens freezes a single moment and it's imperative there will be a distortion of that which is, since a person is not a static object.


One can make an argument both mediums should be discredited since they are only a replica of that which is and not the authentic present moment.
