does it help work for what? I found it helped my lockout and it was also one of my fav tricep builders when done with dumbbells and for high reps. Might do some tomorrow since it's been a while.

I been readong that it doesn't really help much. I wanted to know what you guys thought

Floor Presses are mad effective in building your chest, triceps and shoulders, cuz it eliminates the momentum of the regular bench press (elasticity + stretch reflex). Bodybuilders love it.

It also helps in improving your lockout strength for the bench.

It aint for beginners tho, so if you're just 6 months in doing floor presses you're def gonna get the :comeon::beli:

Helps a ton, especially working at near max weights. Specifically helps powering through the middle of the bench press to lockout. As with anything it is really an assistance movement you should use to get better at the bench press. If done correctly, elbows tucked, legs out, powering through your lats, etc, it takes your delts out of the bench press which is why it is recommended for people who have cuff problems.

But for power lifting and over all strength floor press + dynamic benching are really beneficial to increasing raw, explosive bench press strength.

correct. i don't have problems locking out so i barely use it but it's a good exercise.

incorrect. it does just about nothing for chest and is more popular with powerlifters than bodybuilders for that reason. if you want to eliminate the momentum, just do full ROM presses and don't bounce through the bottom 2/3rds of the movement :krs:
