I enjoyed dramatic performance of his like jungle fever, eve's bayou, a time to kill, 187, etc. He's hasn't done something like that in a while so it would be cool to see him do that, but not strictly for an Oscar. Sam is bigger than that. I just want to see the performance of one of the all time greats

I also think Sam will get an Academy Honorary Award for his career soon. Not a competitive Oscar, but guys like Spike, James Earl Jones and Jackie Chan have received them in recent years. Spike and James Earl Jones of course has history of the academy being Shady towards them tho in the competitive fields
