Yh Why not?

- Daddy being a playa as a young'n
- Growing up in QB and all the QB legends
- Seeing Ill Will die
- Dropping Illmatic
- East/West beef
- Jay Z feud
- Mother dying
- Kelis debacle

Can make a decent story.

A Jay Z biopic would be even better IMO. From hustling to rap superstardom to Beyonce to Hip Hop Gordon Gekko :wow:. Would be a hood classic. It's a once in a lifetime story.

Dudes had such a long storied career, he had 2 VH1 documentaries so why not

But I'll be honest with you, Hip Hop documentaries>>>>>>>> Biopics

I know you gotta go into biopics knowing there's gonna be some liberty with the facts but Notorious felt like a VH1 movie of the week and even Straight out of Compton felt less interesting than the actual guys (I think dude who played Eazy did well with what he had but that's not how Eazy E was I'm sorry lol)

Time is illmatic, The Show, Tupac Resurrection, Beats Rhymes and Life, Rhyme and Reason, Life on Death Row>>>>>>>>

A pre-illmatic one would be dope. Movie about a young high school dropout in the hood tryna maintain while writing the greatest album ever :wow:

I'm not too interested in a movie version of his actual career tho

It would be incomplete without a final act. Who knows what's in store for Don Pablo's bright future?

Time is Illmatic, the most critically acclaimed hip hop documentary, will have to suffice.

I know he was planning to do a netflix style series about himself growing up in the 80s for Playstation but given their on demand format stopped I think that fell through. Perhaps if the second half of the Get Down is a success (which I'm guessing had more of Nas' input given he came in at the last minute for the first half to help with the rhymes)

yeah id rather watch a great documentary

a biopic is always gonna have an element of corn to it, and the actor is never gonna live up to the expectations. i thought gravy and anthony mackie didnt do bad at all, and they got absolutely roasted :heh:
