it would prolly make my top 10, no cap :ehh: combat was lit

I don't think i've ever been as engaged with an RPG combat system like I was with FF7 Remake. every enemy encounter I was like :krs:I never once got bored of it and actually seeked out more. the only other RPG on the same level imo is Dragon's Dogma

Ionno. Maybe. I've been seeing plenty of solid rpg battle systems over the years IMO. It's possibly one area that has continuously been getting better, whereas other elements of rpgs have slumped in some regard within most games.

It’s good but not that memorable to me, It was a chore fighting a few enemies. I honestly think scarlet nexus is better

controversial: but i thought ff15 *looked* cooler also

It's cool, but there is room for improvement. Mainly your allies to need to be somewhat able to build up ATB without you switching to them, even if it is very slowly. A lot of people got hung up on that and to them the combat came off akward.

If you only use one character, eventually the other characters will back off and just guard. You have to switch to them and use them to build up their ATB. I think their reasoning for doing this is because in the original game your time in Midgar was very micromanaged. Yeah the Airbuter was a memorable fight as well as the very first boss, but none of the battles were really challenging or really were designed to beat you, until you left Midgar and had a permanent 3 person party you weren't really meant to die.

It was better than 15’s attempt but no
It’s crazy that they just won’t do a 1 for 1 kingdom hearts combat recreation
It’s like they don’t want blowback from the fans if they do it

Yup forgot about GOT too, was gonna say LOU2 but it’s nothing that’s really innovative, it’s just your average 3rd person shooter just done incredibly well
