I rarely hear anyone talk about Chicago outside of the violence and murders (which every city has). Its always New York, LA, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas. Chicago seems very underrated to be such a big city. I didn't even realize until a few years ago that Chicago was full of skyscrapers and damn near as big as New York.

I'll probably catch some heat, I feel though Chicago is treated lesser than Boston. Just because Boston has been around so much in the media for the last decade in terms of the culture; the sports teams, the departed movie, and the accent. I think Chicago is definitely in the Top 5 Major cities, but just being HEAVILY overshadowed by the East Coast. :mjpls:

Why would you catch heat for that? I see where you coming from.

I think the Midwest in general gets overshadowed by the East Coast. Part of that is because there's so much on the coasts and not much happening in the middle of the country. If you live in Philadelphia, you can be in Midtown Manhattan friday night, Atlantic City saturday night, Washington DC sunday night. And all that stuff is a 2 hour drive or less. You can't beat that. Chicago is a big azz city but, two hours outside the city is cornfields and Iowa. If Chicago was on the coasts (west or east), it would get alot more love.
