Like I just went to my collection of CD's and picked up some classics I had my collection. And though I have replicates of those same CDS on my computer .. I remember the feeling when I had the original CD in the original package opening it .. checking out the CD booklet ... production credits ...thank yous ... and then loading it up in the whip for the first time..

I use to remember on each CDs what track numbers my fav track was and use to skip to it instantly I had a bad bytch in the whip just to let her know what it is ...

now adays i download a nygga album a week before it drops .. half the time I do a Jordan fade away to the recycle bin.. other times i just have it to have it in case when I dj nyggas ever request some wack shyt.

i dont even burn these nyggas cds anymore. or even put em on my ipod to bump in the car ...i just make my own playlist on my ipod

But man music has become cheap as shyt now man ... the whole feeling of getting someone new album is totally done.

Haven't really raced to the record store and been like :eat: while picking out the latest albums ..

but :obama: saved me some $$$ ... so fukk em I guess.

Agreed, feel the same way with video games too, as it just becomes too much money.

I copped J. Cole's CD just to support dude, think it was the first time in years that I bought a new CD. Maybe even since GRODT  It's a good feeling though to have a physical disc and popping into your whip as opposed to flash drive or burnt CD. Lotta :trash: out there though so it's a must to DL the album first before supporting :heh:

Yeah
I like copping shyt from artist who are actual artist not manufactured products or gimmicky entrepreneurs.

I treat hip hop like a true art form copping a cd is like purchasing a painting if it's of good quality it will never lose its value.

If you ain't a true artist I'm waiting for that big biz leak :ahh:

I missed the whole record store experience we had in our childhood. The record store was like the arcade. You would bond with other kids just based on copping the same album. Then, you would always run into them again when the next hot release drop, which seemed like every month back in the days.

I still cop CDs, though.

Life Is Good was the last one.

RZA's soundtrack, Good Kid..Mad City, Mic Tyson, and Ghost's albums will be the next one to get. Always have to have a physicall copy of the legends and legend in the making. :jawalrus:

I still purchase the physical CDs. I like opening the CD up, and then reading the liner notes. But, after I do that I just rip it to my computer and put the songs on my phone anyway. :heh:

I don't even read liners anymore. I just tear the package, rip it to my comp, place the CD in its rightful catologue and never touch it again.

I rememeber laying on the bed reading, every inch of the liner note, while listening to the Disc on my Sony CD player. :old::to:

Damn it's going to suck when modern hip-hop sounds as bad to me as it does to you guys. 2012 has been one of my favorite years in music and probably the year Ive bought the most albums. I'm not even trying to insult just saying that I don't want my ears to change. I'm waiting till next week to by Lupes classic

This.

I used to cop cd's all the time (have over 500), but it got to the point where I got sick of the same manufactured shyt. I still buy all Kanye/Jay/Nas shyt.

To be honest I have been purchasing a lot more rock music over the past 3 years

While we're on the subject, when is the last time a mixtape has actually been on a CD, let alone a damn tape?
