Does anyone know how I can use my computer monitor as a TV?

I have a spare monitor. It's a Samsung B2430H 24" lcd monitor and wanted to use it to watch tv. How do I go about doing so and what do I need? I wanna do it without hooking monitor to a pc.

Dead serious I almost got into a fist-fight with the dude at Future Shop (like Best Buy for you amurricans) over this issue. My girl and my dad had to talk me out of waiting for him after his shift.

I'm assuming off set-top box? If so all you need is an HDMI cable from box to monitor...

If its hdmi monitor just plug it into your cable box that takes hdmi
