The only one I have is that its a blank check to insurance companies. Is there anymore in depth reasonable arguments against it?

Has anyone come across a reasonable argument against it?

NO. not really.

the argument against it. is truthfully we should do BETTER. thats really not an argument against it. its an argument FOR something better.

but i keep telling people there was no way on earth america was going to let universal healthcare slide like that. not YET. but with something like this. we could slowly but surely get to the next best thing. now everyone will never agree on healthcare for all or most. some people think if you die cause you cant afford healthcare. thats on you. shoulda pulled yourself up by your boot straps, blah blah blah.

I would never claim to be an expert, but since its enforcement my coverage has gone down and my co-pays have gone up. Not sure if they're connected, but its definitely not good. :yeshrug:

The ACA is actually detrimental to seeking the next step.

It gives money to the lobbying coffers of insurance companies to fight true health care and it keeps the majority from seeking true health care.

I'll go into details later with numbers and examples.

Please don't you've shown that you don't fully understand the HCA and have never read it in its most pertinent provisions or understand what they were in response to. Unless you're a health expert, I'd rather you not mislead people. You're good at general criticisms, but that's all.

To answer your next question: no, I have no intention of writing the essay to explain what you've left out in your past arguments, I know where that leads us, I just didn't want taking your shyt for gospel because you rarely provide the full context of background facts before framing your argument. That's the BarNone disclaimer of the day :dj2:

I will respond in full with data later.

At the end of the day, this is a GOP Big Business bill with breadcrumbs thrown to people, and some of the breadcrumbs are very positive breadcrumbs.

One thing you can't are is that we ar being forced to buy private insurance who will see a spike in profits which will lead to more lobbying money. What is that lobbying money for? To stop any true health care reform.

If you like the Romney and Dole plan, by all means that is your right just don't lie and say this is first step towards the real goal. It isn't.

Let it be shown that for all the complaining BarNone does about me "attacking" him, he's done that in several of my posts the last few days.

No it doesn't. It expanded federal subsidies to provide coverage for people up to 400% of the poverty line and expanded SCHIP. And it allows some small businesses to get subsidies for coverage on exchanges. I would much rather have a single payer system obviously, but to say that the ACA somehow is a step in the wrong direction instead of the right direction is inaccurate when it expands coverage, both private and public. Most westernized democracies with universal healthcare have some mixture of public and private insurance anyway, including France, which is rated as the best healthcare system in the world by the WHO the last time I checked.

with that being said. and i'm not fighting what you're saying. lets go with it.

do you know how many kids and adults will now be covered without having to deal with pre-existing conditions kicking them out.

So.. how many more people will be covered by that alone vs what you are talking about.
and thats even if the insurance isnt that great. not that great is always better then ZERO coverage.

I will respond to both of you in full at a later time. I'm on my phone at school and I won't be able to reply properly to both of your claims.
