It was a clear attempt at the NBA to stay in the headlines/minds of people all through the summer. I think they will shuffle things around, but the award show will stay around. Give players an extra 2-3 days off or so to lead into the playoffs with the show if you wanted.

The NBA Schedule all in all is kinda fukked up tbh. Free Agency should start before the draft as well.
