Best way to put it was it was 2 steps forward, 5 steps back. For the talent they had, they regularly shot themselves in the foot with some of the angles and regularly putting freshly released WWE guys to the forefront.

TNA in the 2000s has massive Durant/Westbrook/Harden OKC energy. Doesn't matter if your roster is all-world if you don't do shyt but burn through certain people's primes and then implode the whole thing just to watch your core go off and succeed in other places with half the effort and double the mileage on their bodies.

Have Perc Angle, peak Phenomenal AJ, Joe with the Joe's-Gonna-Kill-You not just for irony, CM Punk, The Young Bucks, Lashley, regular television and a network willing to go head-up with the E on Mondays and still end up with nothing to show for it but a twitch stream and a company that didn't exist three years ago coming in to make your champion look weak as a favor to you, brehs
