This is exactly why you won't see the complete obsolescence of cash. The underground economy is too large to let that happen.

not until credit can become untraceable.

Because like you said the black market still uses cash for transaction. When the black market can get credit then we will be cashless.

The fundamentals will fight this as a cashless society operating solely digitally could be interpreted as a sign of the antichrist.
