ok so I did one of my co workers hair's yesterday and now she wants her money back.
She lives closer to my job than I do and since she doesn't have a car I wound up driving her to the hair store then going back to her place to do her hair.
Originally, she wanted a sew-in with now leave out and agreed bc she's natural and it's going to be hard for her natural hair to stay straight due to her texture and humidity. She then decides she wants a side part so I was like ok since in the grand scheme of things, i cannot tell her how she should want her hair.
I start braiding her hair and I probably spent about an extra 30 mins detangling and removing all the gunk from her hair:beli:
I get to the front top of her hair where she tells me there is dried up glue:skip:
I fought with it for a while until I gave up and improvised. Instead of starting the braid there, i slicked the hair down and pushed the braid back but it was still fine bc it was going to be covered anyway.
So then I start sewing in the hair and I swear the I'm about 3/4th's done and she runs out of yarn:snoop:
It's about 9'oclock at this point and the hair stores are closed so I tell her I can come back tomorrow and since I have some yarn I can use mine but I charge her and extra $10. She agrees.
Today, I go there and finish the sew-in. now the mess really starts.
Since she is natural, the only way to get her hair straight is to either relax it or do a keratin treatment. Now this is her telling me this so she knows the deal with her hair.
when we were at the hair store yesterday, the clerk recommended her a product to get it straight. This is the same product her sister, who is a cosmetologist told her to get but she didn't want to get it bc it was too expensive so she ended up getting something cheaper.:heh:
I tried to straighten her leave-out to the best of my abilities but it just wasn't working. By the time I got to the other side, the hair had already frizzed up and I had to put heat on it again (mind you this is with a mini flt iron that doesn't even get that hot.)
So now I have to blend her hair with the weave. Since her weave came curly, i had to loosen it up to even make it look slightly real. I ended up curling her hair into it but you could tell where her hair was but it wasn't bad and the edge control she uses probably didn't even stay 5 mins in her hair.
As I left she started cleaning so I'm thinking that made her hair extra frizzy cuz I just woke up seeing she text me about 30 mins after I left.
She says she wants her money back because my skills aren't at the level to be charging ppl.:bryan:
Why is this girl trying my life?:childplease:
I've been doing my hair since I was about 10 and have been doing other ppl's hair all throughout middle school, high school, and college and never had a complaint. Now I gotta deal with this hood behind chick at work bc I do not plan on giving her money back unless you guys think I'm in the wrong:mjpls:

pros seem to have the ability to polish even the poorest of hair but at the same time, she clearly would not have maintained what a pro would have done either
dried glue :skip:
give the refund (except for $10) since shes a coworker and not a friend and could bring problems to the workplace

It's her responsibility to wash her hair not me.

There wasn't a time she had her hair done I was like " that looks nice".
And I wouldn't be doing hair unless I needed the money so me just giving it back when I spent my time and gas is a huge no.

Honestly, I wouldn't give her, the money back. I think when you get you're hair done, part of the cost is labor.
Do you think she can mess up potential $$ from other people you work with? If so then I *might* refund her something.

But the first issue I see is, why is she natural trying to get a straight weave with leave out? Why didn't she get like a light yaki, or he'll even a regular yaki?

I was about to put a straight weave in my head for graduation, but didn't want to straighten my hair.
