let's take this to somewhere interesting

do you realize that digital redlining will happen? or more specifically that big data will make redlining more efficient and harder to scrutinize and combat?

In theory wouldn't that make redlining easier to to spot and prevent and there would be a lot of hard evidence.

The banks got caught after all. But I they were only caught because they were being investigated for other things if I remember correctly....

With whistle blowers and all of the technology of the day? Large Companies are more Larry Holmes than James Bond.

the thing is we don't know what big data is telling corporations about us
they may know us better than we know ourselves

Also big data and algos allow concentration of knowledge and control (look at high frequency trading for example)
there will be fewer and fewer whistle blowers in this scenario, just cold calculating machines
