I rooted for Black Beetle while watching Young Justice .. the way he was so casually dismissive of the team was to me

i dont always root for the villain but i do want the main character to die regardless of if he wins or loses

Only if the villain has a somewhat sympathetic cause. I don't root for villains if they're just killing people and trying to end the world just cause he/she can.

Type of villains I root for a while are Yagami Light from Death Note, Tywin Lannister (dude is vile but you get why he does what he does) and Jigsaw Killer .
