Do you read glassdoor and indeed reviews before accepting a job?

What do you think about the glassdoor and indeed employer reviews? would you listen to them and not apply or accept offer if the reviews were negative or right in the middle?

yup..glassdoor played a big part in my job searching from 2011-2013...the company i work for now had great reviews on top of being recognized as being one of the top places to work...thank you glassdoor

how legit is that top places website though? i know a lot of it is survey based though. and you can miss out on a good company because they dont participate in those surveys.

As far as pay, company lifestyle. That's all done before even applying

Honestly, all I look at is the salary/wages. I can control my environment, but those $$$ are non-negotiable

A lot of those reviews depend on the position within the company. A low wage employee gonna pop shyt regardless.

Some reviews you can tell people are venting, but it still gives you an insight into the work environment. I’ve also walked in just to stake out the place

Yep. I once turned down an interview cos I saw too many negative reviews about a certain company.

There will always be a negative review, but when it's several people in different locations saying the same thing, they can't all be lying.
