Do you over analyze/observe movies and TV shows?

Reading the Westworld thread and A LOT of cats were sharing their theories and ideas. Got me wondering how much of TFR does this.

Me, I tend to stay away from it because it kind of takes away from the viewing pleasure. I'm trying to watch a movie/show, not solve a puzzle.

Of course there are times where things are predictable, but with shows like WW, those are a different level of beast. I appreciate the smallest details they put in because the subtleties are

Everyone does unless it's the type of movie that only needs to be "fun", then it's a cop out and if you analyze the movie objectively you're a hater

Yes, I do it to an extreme and I don't even know how to watch TV or movies like a regular person anymore, just as some psychoath constantly studying dialogue and plot and acting. I don't even remember what it was like to watch like a normal person. And now I don't like watching things with other people because they talk and ruin my concentration. I can watch with my mom out of sentimental value though, and she's nice enough to take interest in the goofy stuff I like.

if it's a film like the matrix or a film with any type of mind fukkery or twist then yes

otherwise it needs to be entertaining

And that computer chick is the go to person for numeroligy deciphering and computer hacking.

She apparently can also be a doctor and knows how to diffuse a bomb & sounds like an expert when it comes to nitrogen and phosphorus and other chemical reactions.
