Do you necessarily need protein shakes if you are happy with your weight?

I have cut down on the weight, Im currently on the weight I desire, I just now want to tone up my body, do I necessarily need protein shake?

I have a good amount of mass and a sub 10% bodyfat, and I haven't had a protein shake in years. I get all my protein from food, mostly lean meats.

I haven't taken "protein powder", on a regular basis for about a year.

Right I'm currently in the process of shifting to a complete vegetarian diet and more than likely complete vegan in the near future...

(Slowly easing off of diary product as well)

I'm a lean 177-180 @ 5'9...

Feel about the same, and look more compact, since I switched my diet up. Guess I'm feeding my body all the proper nutrients now...

Processed foods and meats are starting to taste disgusting...

Idk there's a lot crazy research coming out about diary and fish. :mindblown:

Plus my diet, was too dependent on diary before.

The only thing that seems straight are plant based products...

Buying produce is kind of cool. It forces me to :eat: food quickly before it spoils. :manny:

It's actually easier than I thought...

Lost mad weight and got ripped now i miss my bulk, the gym lifestyle is a never ending cycle of bulk vs cut, you just gotta make sure your getting enough protein for what your currently doing. If im bulking im obviously gonna require a lot more to aid in growth and repair but if im happy with my weight or cutting I aint gonna need as much.

How are you sourcing protein at a high level as a vegetarian?

easy...

Nuts, oatmeal, beans, yams, yogurt, eggs, soy milk, potatoes, brown rice, granola

The trick is to eat a big meal.

For example my breakfast consist of:
4-6 eggs / beans
2 packets of oatmeal
a glass of soy milk
1-2 bananas

That keeps me full for quite a few hours...
