Homey the clown
Homey don't play that
Or do you censor it. I'm asking because even though my home order until May 30, I was over my brother and sister in law house yesterday because one of my sister in law's friends had made some cloth masks so I had went to pick a few up.
My brother and my sister in law have a two year old son and while I m was over there my brother was playing music from Future, Dababy, Migos, Gucci Mane as well as some old school 2pac, NWA, Westside Connection, Wu Tang Clan and Jay Z. I remember when me, my brother and our other two brother's were kids my parent's didn't like us listening to rap that had profanity .But they had no problem letting us watch movies with sex, violence and a lot of cussing in it.
But we ended up listening to it anyway because my oldest brother is about 9 years older then I am so when he got in middle school he started listening to stuff like Dr Dre, Snoop and 2pac and so when got old enough to drive sometimes we would listen to a lot of the stuff he was listening to when we were in the car with him. But by the time I got in high school my Dad stopped trying to control the music we listen to. Because unlike some people we understood that it was just music and we didn't let it dictate our lives. We didnt start slanging dope or joining gangs just because the rappers we listened to may or may not had done the thing's they talking about in their music.
I know I'm getting a little off topic but I believe you have to trust that your kids are smart enough to know the music is just that music. It's not a blueprint on how to live your life. It's just like movies I grew up watching a lot of Arnold Schwarzenegger movies but that never made me want to go out shoot a bunch of random people.
