Do you have a method of organizing your drum folder?

shyt is crazy. I have sounds just everywhere, some I've never even listed to before, because they're just in random folders.

Do you just create a folder (Kicks Snares Claps etc) and then just dump them there or do you have a method of organizing sounds?

I drop em straight into the fl studio program files. They show up in the lil toolbar, then you can audition sounds and everything.

Mine is all a fukking mess in my folder. I even have the drum folders named all kindas dumb shyt like after tv shows, movies, people etc. But Ive been using em' for so long that I know where to find the sound im looking for when I need it. Plus, after a while I think every producer has their bread and butter sounds so I know where those are off the top of the dome when Im making beats.

i save my samples in programs...therefore i hit load and it loads different partitions of kicks, snares, hats, percussion etc.

for my generic programs i have bank 1- kicks, bank 2- snares, bank 3- hats, bank 4 percussion etc but
im not getting the best out of it so ive been creating programs that look more like

I don't actually have them in a folder lol

Usually get pulled off vinyl thru usb attachment, then I eq and ready them for w/e I'm gonna do, then just pull the individual portions off my saved project files b/c I cba to organize them. Instead just memorize the sort of sound I'm looking for; thick snare? bust out the break from Sly's sing a simple song (for example) . Got some individual stuff I pulled from some guys (might jack a snare off the end of a Moka Only track) then just format and save them as a .wav "snare1" etc. Half the time I don't actually make anything just sequence drums and layer shyt that sounds good.
