I dont have kids, so I don't know how people are about that sort of thing.

My nephew turned 13 two weeks ago. His mom is my older sister. I know he fukks with LeBron & the Heat heavy, so I brought him the 10's. Kid almost had a heart attack.

When my older brother was alive he used to keep me fresh as a youngin, so I like doing the same to my nephews. My sister called me the next morning like :beli: "That boy dont need no damn $200 sneakers". Took em back to the store and got him some joints from the outlets.

Made it out like I did something wrong when I was just trying hit him off with something nice. Kid probably think I asked her to take em back :stopitslime:

Hell No, My son get shyt bought for him all the time....

Especially shoes, He has a Aunt & Uncle that have no kids, plus his grandparents so I haven't had to buy him any tennis shoes or basketball shoes in a few years cause that the main thing he wants and they get it for him.

Even if my babymama's boyfriend wants to buy him something I have no problem with it at all. I feel like my kids deserve all the dope shyt people buy for them so......

I don't see it disrespectful at all :shaq2: I never bought Jordans for my daughter but my brother would everytime some new Jordans came out he would get himself a pair and get my daughter something similar. I didn't mind one bit. I can't think of why she would take them back.

Will you be my uncle? Just get me a pair of Nike Hyperdunks in black/white.

But seriously, relatives, uncles, aunts, grandparents do this. Nothing new under the sun. It's not unusual. If the person buying the gift can't afford it but buys it anyway to build up the facade that they are rich, then that's a problem.

No disrespect taken. Yea she is.

I love my sister but, the Coli would hate her :heh: :lolbron:

I thought so, the whole scenario reeked of single mother. :snoop:

I noticed that single moms can develop that crab in a barrel mentality. I know some dudes who had to get talked to crazy too , they would 've been told some shyt like ...."Oh oh uh NO, you don't need all that...aint nobody buy me no 200 dolla sneakers, your daddy aint buy none because he aint here" "nah nah nah we taking them back and we getting you some outfits so I aint gotta dip into my hair and nail funds because momma need to get hers to". :patrice:

Myself. fukk 12(1)!
I don't have children, but I wouldn't find it disrespectful if one of my siblings were to buy any future Kuntz Kids a nice gift; I buy my nieces and nephews nice gifts on their birthdays.

OP u only gave 1 example. And with that 1 example I can see why the sister would beef. If she lives in a poor neighborhood ya sis could be worried about her sons safety which makes sense. 13 is a perfect age for vic. I've seen it first hand, dude had to go to the 99cent store and get some dollar slippers to avoid walking home in socks after getting his J's taken.

Give more examples to bring your point home because your situation sounds more on the "safety" side then on the side of hating because someone bought a kid a nice gift.
