I just finished watching a streetcar named desire and I enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of Casablanca and Breakfast at Tiffany's. I've got 'Gone with the wind' and 'A cat on a hot tin roof' on the backburner and ready to go.

Are there any of these old school flicks that you would recommend?

I love the dialogue in them, its not got much in the way of realism but its entertaining and with the spit fire delivery they can get a lot out there in a short time.

The Maltese Falcon is pretty dope. I had a bunch of old Humphrey Bogart flicks on tape and he got classics.

I agree. I went through my Bogart phase, watched all of his best movies. Now I think I'm moving onto Brando.

Also went through most of the Marx Brothers films a while back.

i can barely watch movies made in the 80s yet these old ass films from earlier decades.

Saw 'Casablanca' on the big screen a couple weeks back......exceptional how well it holds up.

Some of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet...

Ace In The Hole
His Girl Friday
I Confess
The Third Man
Touch Of Evil (the opening tracking shot is unbelievable)

...to say nothing of foreign classic films. Criterion on Hulu+ >>>>>>>

It pains me to know that some people somehow write-off films that are in B&W and/or have no interest in movies regarded as classic regardless of when it was made.
