Long story short lost my job a few months ago. It was a product analyst job for the state. Been landing interviews but not the job. I get that some money is better than none. But I also believe in taking jobs that's going to help Elevate you. That you can put on your resume. If I sit here and get a job at Walmart or Target then I'm going to get pigeonholed and the only jobs that's going to look at me are retail or warehouse jobs. Plus I need a good paying job just to afford all my bills.

Need a good paying job to pay your bills vs no job at all to pay your bills :jbhmm:
Dilemma
If it was that simple everyone who got laid off would be doing it. Look at all the tech layoffs u think they sitting here like let me go work at Starbucks? No they using that time to apply for jobs

You should have a set day on the weekend to apply, a portfolio and templates/different resumes to go breh

If you get a part-time for now, you'll be able to pace yourself

Worse case scenario, go early in the morning to a labor pool and hope for the best

You have an obligation to yourself to support yourself by any legal way necessary.
I took some bad jobs for bills and learned a lot about hard work and the struggles other people on those jobs had.
When I landed the better job, I didn't take it for granted but also knew how to grind to keep myself going.
Don't ever be afraid of working to keep what you got.

but if they cant get a job and dont have a decent nest egg built up, im sure some of them are taking menial jobs or doing some sort of free lance work.

the answer to this questions relies on how much money you have saved up and how much you are willing to sacrifice from your lifestyle while in between jobs.
