I got sickle cell beta thalessmia minor and I gas out doing basically anything physical. I need to lose weight. You see why this is hard to work out.

I want to know if these suits work to help you sweat and will they target body fat or water weight?

Someone posted a article that said it helped with fat loss. I have my doubts and ultimately think for most people it’s going to be water weight which you will need to replenish so what’s the point.

I don’t know the end and outs of sickle cell but I don’t imagine adding something that’s going increase your body temperature to the point of excessive water weight loss is ideal.

Stick to the basics:

Improve nutrition
Limit liquid calories
Get more movement in (even if it’s just walking)
Proper rest

I have very little experience with sunas, but I don't see how a sauna or a sauna suit could have you lose anything but water. :yeshrug: The thermogenic effect should be very negligible.

If actual activity is out, then diet, not the sauna, is the key. If things like lifting, walking, water aerobics, and biking are all out for you then only eating clean and not overshooting your cals will prevent you from being a fat body.

Saunas seem like they'd be bad for somone like you since higher temps can make it harder to breathe and your body already stinks at transporting oxygen as it is. :francis:

Good luck.

Sauna suits are mostly trying to get that last bit of water weight out. Whatever you lose from a sauna suit you’ll put it back on in a day since it’s all liquids.

The best way to lose weight is calorie deficits.

Yes mostly but I did break it and had curry goat last night, my bad.

But usually

Breakfast = oatmeal with apple or banana or some days grits, eggs and turkey bacon
Lunch chicken legs, kale, broc
Dinner usually fish kale, broc

and I drink 3 protien shakes a day and have a gallon of water.

Can’t look at like breaking the diet and needing to apologize. It was a meal, it’s done and get back to the what tour we’re doing.

What them portions looking like though? You can eat all of the right foods and still take in too many calories and end up gaining weight. :francis:

Are the proton shakes straight whey (or w/e) or do they have added carbs in them? How many calories are they apiece? Three a day is prolly OD if you're not lifting and tryna gain (its one of the things skinny cats do when they're bulking).

What's the height/weight right now? :patrice:

isolate it's the cheap whey from

5.5-lbs Myprotein Impact Whey Protein (Various Flavors) (slickdeals.net)

I don't eat much but I'd say average portions

I may have to straight eat less and do a little fasting to help the health...

I'm drop a update in a few weeks.

Only 300 calories for 3 scoops. If you're mixing it with water, that's one thing, but mixing with any typa milk is only adding extra calories you're not burning off.

"Average portions" isn't an amount. :comeon: You need to start tracking your macros so the forum can help you better. Average for me is about a cup of rice (dry). Average for you might 2 cups dry or 1/2 a cup. The average American is fat as hell, so the average is prolly more than you need.:troll:

Go ahead and post that height weight too, it'll help us to see how much you might be overshooting your intake needs.

You're not lifting or doing anything physically, correct? Cause that will also make a difference.

5'11 206:francis: body shaped like a egg breh:francis:

Yeah, I can't do much workout, I tire easily so I need to focus more on dieting

For working out I max out on squats at 225 for 4 or 5 reps and I'm gassed:francis:

bench is like 180 2 or 3 times:francis:

Not my fault it's a health issue that warps my body of needed air in my lungs, so I do alot of light running and walking for about 1.5 miles a day.

I'm do myfitnesspal and drop my daily intake starting tomorrow morning

You try decreasing weight and increasing reps? You gonna be starving and tempted during a drop in your intake, try to fight it. And try not to decrease it too much or you will gourge yourself back up in weight again.
