I'm on the semi season finale of season one. I thought it was widely regarded as one of the undisputed goats, but then I see here and there that it goes downhill after season one. I don't want this to be a Dexter repeat, I cant do this again.

Just watched the first 3 episodes last night. Been pretty good so far, but this thread makes me feel like

As far as the question it's a top 3 show but it definitely doesn't get better with each season. Towards the end there's a few story choices which were 
and the finale wasn't very well received.
Nothing remotely as bad as "Dexter" though. Regardless , it deserves praise just off it being somewhat of an experiment at the time. It gave birth to the whole heavily serialized drama/anti-hero movement.
