Well it is kind of phony. I don't think that's a fair comparison of buying a vehicle and buying a shoe which is popular solely because of a single person. And just off rip I would think the quality of people buying a BMW have a little more consumer knowledge than a person buying Jordans.

Anyways it's more equivalent to women in love with Marilyn Monroe and have never seen Some Like It Hot or rocking a Che Guevara shirt and not understanding exactly who he is. JMO
