Do Franchise Players really wanna play for the Hawks?

I'm just wondering. they seem like terrible sports fans and they have never gotten major free agents in the past.

The reason major players haven't played for the Hawks is because of poor management, horrible ownership (see: Atlanta Spirit) & no commitment from the team to compete for a championship (until now). With Ferry in place, this organization finally has the look of a team that knows what it's doing, which hasn't been the case since the glory days of Nique.

Top talent already loves coming here to visit & live. They'll work & play here if they trust the direction of management

Atlanta is a beautiful city... not sure why anyone wouldn't want to live there & play for them unless it's a management issue...

Miami has terrible sports fans and I see things are working out just fine down there...

But as folks have already said, bad management and incompetent ownership has kept most folks from coming here b/c players knew the front office didn't care...

Now... Ferry seems to want to build a winner. I'm sure Josh Smith has been told they're freeing up this cap space to land big names and the Hawks didn't do too bad in the draft in retrospect since JJ is gone. We got an upcoming shooter who can play the 2, Teague may become decent or become trade bait... Horford is here, and if Josh is happy, then why wouldn't a D12 come here? Or a CP3?

A Dwight/Horford/Smith/Jenkins/CP3 lineup in 2013 seems very nice and now actually plausible.

Miami is known as a bad sports city because of all the tourists/people moving to the place rather than growing up there so not having much of a home base (atleast one of the reasons)
