In college and elsewhere I've endured plenty of talk about "body image" and the like
Previously on this site I've mentioned how the CDC's data debunks the popular narrative of the egregious double standard regarding gender and weight- that man are "allowed" to be way fatter than women and that society's full of obese dudes and starving women- as being firmly rooted in the middle-class white perspective which dominates the discourse on most "feminist" topics
Going even further: Does Black America invert the whole "Body Image" paradigm as a whole? Recently it seems I've heard a number of women say they don't like guys who are too built/ripped, and even state their preference for husky, bearded guys; but looking back it it these women were like 95% white. Do black women place more emphasis on a man's physical strength/physique
