A genius move IMO

Disney Plus: Disney's rival to Netflix is taking shape

And the company started to talk about more features of the service itself. Disney Plus is going to eschew pricing tiers, giving all subscribers access to four simultaneous streams and 4K and HDR high-quality video. It'll also allow you to create seven profiles, so personalization can suit different members of the household. And even though Disney Plus is the company's answer to Netflix, it won't be releasing episodes of its original series all at once like its giant rival does -- new episodes will come out weekly.

Hulu does this already. Doesn't really matter unless the content is worthwhile (Handmaid's Tale was worthwhile). I've felt the binge format/streaming is why the Golden Age of TV fell off a few years ago. This style might help their shows gain more of a water cooler discussion level of popularity. Again, depends on the content.

Not sure. I love Handmaid's Tale and One Punch Man(not this season, doe:scust:) but neither was big enough of a draw for me to make sure I showed up the day they dropped. Part of me wants to say Netflix should adopt a staggered release schedule, but they have so much content that they don't need to, really. This definitely makes more sense for a service just starting out.
