Nigerian-American director Rick Famuyiwa is attached to produce.
A new Disney original centered on the story of an African princess warrior is coming our way.

The studio has acquired a pitch for Sadé from writers Ola Shokunbi and Lindsey Reed Palmer. Nigerian-American Dope director Rick Famuyiwa, has signed on to produce the film. Disney's Ugandan-American Executive VP of Production Tendo Nagenda and Zoe Kent its Manager of Creative Affairs will oversee the project, though a director is yet to be named.

Blavity influence will be all over this. Wench with a white saviour from Europe, gay/asexual black male character side character, etc. Their fantasy dreamland.

I’ve noticed since Black Panther became very popular they’ve been trying to focus more on the female characters. Can’t have a strong straight black male character walking around now can we.
