The force awakens had a story and vision that was then handed off to another director who disagrees with the vision of the first director and created a mess. Not to mention the second director only had two other movie credits before they handed him the keys to the biggest movie franchise in the world

There is no telling what the next director will do. Should have just let Abrams direct all three films.

No, it would be interesting. I would want to try and get some good directors, and see what their interpretation of the theme is. I think it will be interesting, it is like taking a theme in film school, say, okay, everybody do their interpretation of this theme. It's an interesting idea to see how people interpret the genre. It is a fun genre to play with. All the prototype stuff is done now. Nobody has to worry about what a Wookiee is and what it does and how it reacts. OP might have fukked up saying the Ot didnt have 3 different directors but Lucas still had overall control of the story. Thats where this is lacking. They tried to go the harry potter route without a sound template or overarching story
