I’m watching this now

The whole movie is a metaphor for coming out gay. Since this is pride month, the reviews are gonna make it seem like a Pixar classic, but it’s basically the little mermaid for lgbtq. Not hating though.

not sure why i watched this, i'm not the demo, but i guess i've seen every pixar movie so why not. it was fine. i hate the character animation. felt very Dreamworks and not Pixar. every movie that has dropped on streaming this year b/c of covid feels like it was always supposed to drop on streaming. they all seem 2nd tier.

i still think Onward was the best recent Pixar movie :yeshrug:and that's mid tier. Soul was overrated

didnt once see this as a gay allegory. i guess two boys cant be friends without it being gay now :snoop:

dont get me wrong, i dont like it when kids are romantic in movies. but didnt really get that vibe from alberto and luca. i can see that interpretation as an adult. but i can also see two kids wanting to rebel from their parents

if Call Me By Your Name didn't exist, no one would be saying that.

yeah, couldnt help but notice the comparisons everywhere. i get it. but this is also a kids movie about two water creatures that want to know what life is like outside the ocean. luca himself is thirsty for knowledge and that's what led him to alberto who himself is thirsty for freedom and family. none of that had anything to do with being gay imo

I liked this a lot and really didn't get the gay allegory that people were talking about.
Just seemed like a story of two lonely little boys finding their best friend in one another.
