For a nikka who came in a got up shots despite all that shyt. Grimes is a role player. Sure we should run some sets for him. Doesn’t mean he should be able to hit his shots when those offensive engines kicked it out to him. This idea that Jalen only passes it to his Villanova friends is ridiculous.

Yeah, the scheme is not gonna help anyone off-ball. It's a read-react system, but not just for the ball handler. The off-ball guys are supposed to move into space, but young cats aren't typically comfortable going off-script. That's why vets like Reggie Bullock and DiVo can get looks, but Obi and Grimes have struggled. Honestly, we might be wise to try and bring back Doug McDermott or Gallo. I think those guys could eat without play calls.

And if he wanted to make the change, this is a good time. They've got a couple of weaker opponents for guys to get comfortable with the switch, and then it's murderer's row for a while. It's Toronto, Utah and then 10 games of hell.

Grimes just dribbled THROUGH the lane...no stopping short or jump passing. He just kept his dribble and his head up. He reset at the end of that, but it ended with Brunson getting fouled on a three.
Right. And my point is all these guys play solid minutes. Just cause grimes is 9th man doesn’t mean he won’t still play 20+ mins a game like he did as a starter. Thibs is pretty set in his rotations.
