A teenager was found dead and her parents were arrested for her death.
The couple has been arrested after police in Texas, said that the body of their disabled daughter was discovered in a partially burned house.
The 18-year-old’s uterus was ripped from her body.
James Holland is accused of raping his stepdaughter Holli Jeffcoat, on numerous occasions over a period of 10 years.
His wife Debi Holland, is accused of helping her husband carry out and cover up the abuse.
James, 39, was arrested on three counts of rape. He was not charged in Holli Jeffcoat’s death.
Debi is also accused of preventing medical examinations that would have determined that her daughter was being sexually abused.
10 weeks after Holli Jeffcoat told school officials that she was pregnant with her stepfather’s baby, she was found dead.
The arrest warrant links Holli Jeffcoat’s mother Debi Holland, to the victim’s death. The arrest warrants states that the girl was found in a house that was set ablaze in an attempt to hide the gruesome crime.
Holli Jeffcoat’s throat was slit and her uterus was ripped out of her body. She was 13-weeks pregnant.
Debi Holland denied having knowledge of what happened to her daughter.
Because of her disability, investigators said that Holli Jeffcoat was unable to consent to having sex.
