Peace Coli Fam,

Every year, a group of 35+ year old producers from all over the world converge in a city and record an album. In 2019, the group, known as the Dirty Ol' Men, converged on a loft on East Grand Blvd. in Detroit. The hope is by sharing this experience, we can inspire producers around the world to collaborate, share their work, and continue to grow. The group worked with diverse group of artists, including D'EtNam, F13ldz, Young Dame (all of Detroit), Sam Poetry (Cleveland), and MENTaL Da God (Philadelphia).

The album was executive produced by Rod Wallace (@doublenegative on The Coli), who mixed and mastered the project over the next six months in Ypsilanti, MI. Wallace has executive produced all six of their projects, five of which can be found at dirtyolmen.bandcamp.com or on streaming platforms. In 2019, Wallace started Project Plugin, which advocates for the use of hip-hop and music technology in educational settings.

The documentary was helmed by Gadget from Scratch Magazine TV/ Digital Hustle Films

Check it out, give us some feedback, and become part of the movement.
