While doing my research I found Dilla had two off-hand beats that both chopped Bill Evans' "Maxine,"

I think he just liked the song, so he listened to it a lot and would catch new things to flip each time he heard it.
He also chopped a lot more Dorothy Ashby than I had presumed.
